The booking is confirmed.
The saving isn’t gone yet.
Blackrock Optimise rechecks your confirmed hotel bookings against live supplier rates. When an equivalent room is available for less, it prepares the switch — your team approves it, the traveller’s booking terms don’t change, and every saving is logged.

Runs on the suppliers you’ve already connected.
Optimise reads rates through the same certified connections as the rest of the platform — nothing new to contract or integrate.

A rate doesn’t stop moving once a room is booked.
Suppliers reprice constantly. A room booked last week can be available for less today, on the same terms — most agencies have no practical way to catch it at scale.
- Rechecking by hand doesn’t scaleA booking desk can’t re-shop thousands of confirmed stays a day against live supplier rates.
- Not every lower price is equivalentA cheaper room can mean a worse cancellation policy, a different board basis or a missing entitlement — not a real saving.
- Savings need a paper trailA saving that isn’t recorded, approved and reconciled isn’t one anyone can bill or trust.
Less manual re-shopping, more recovered margin.

- A cancellation deadline shown on every row, so nothing is approved too late

We can run it in shadow mode against a sample of your confirmed hotel bookings — read-only, nothing books or cancels.
Three modes. You decide which one runs.
Every tenant starts switched off. Turning monitoring or execution on is a permissioned, audited decision — not a default.
Watch, before anything moves.
Live rate checks only. No reservation or cancellation call is ever made.
- Read-only supplier searches and rate checks
- Opportunities land on the dashboard for review
- Nothing books or cancels in this mode
An operator approves every switch.
The system prepares a specific, re-verified opportunity. A person approves it before anything executes.
- Every term is re-checked immediately before booking
- One opportunity, one approval, one booking at a time
- The original reservation is only released once the replacement is confirmed
Only where it’s been proven safe.
Restricted to specific, pre-approved supplier pairs and limits — never switched on by default.
- Enabled policy by policy, not platform-wide
- Exposure, volume and supplier limits are set in advance
- A kill switch stops new attempts instantly; recovery still finishes
From confirmed booking to reconciled saving.
The same four stages for every booking, whichever mode is switched on.
- 01
Check eligibility
A confirmed, single-room hotel booking is checked against policy — supplier, market, cancellation window and more.
- 02
Watch live rates
Eligible bookings are rechecked on a schedule, matched room for room against the original on board, occupancy and terms.
- 03
Get approval
A qualifying opportunity is re-verified and goes to an operator — automatically only where a policy explicitly allows it.
- 04
Confirm and reconcile
The replacement is confirmed before the original is released, then the saving is logged and reconciled against both bookings.
Available where Blackrock already connects the hotel supplier; coverage grows with the supplier pairs enabled for your account.
Before you ask your account team.
Does this change what my traveller booked?
No. The replacement has to match the original room, board, occupancy and entitlements, and be at least as flexible to cancel, or it doesn’t qualify.
Who approves a switch?
In Shadow mode, no one needs to — nothing executes. In Assisted mode, an operator on your team approves each one. Automatic mode only runs for policies you’ve explicitly enabled in advance.
What happens if the original booking can’t be cancelled?
The switch is only completed once the original is confirmed cancelled. If that fails, the replacement is cancelled back out and the original stays in place.
Which hotel suppliers does this work with?
Any supplier Blackrock already connects for your account, where its API supports a reliable rate and cancellation check. Your account team can confirm coverage for your specific suppliers.
How is the saving billed?
Through an agreed, savings-based fee set with your account team — you only pay a share of a saving that’s actually confirmed and reconciled.
